Plains Cotton Co-operative Association (PCCA) announces the sale of its textile and apparel division to American Textile Holdings (AmTex) a venture of Monomoy Capital Partners and Kingsmoor LLC:

AKC Note: PCCA is the largest originator of U.S. cotton for the worldwide textile industry. In addition to its raw cotton activities it also had a textile and apparel division (American Cotton Growers in Texas and Denimatrix in Guatemala) and this is the subject of the sale. In a separate release the purchasers state: “We are excited to create AmTex and purchase these impressive denim assets in Texas and Guatemala,” said Robert Fowler, a partner at Kingsmoor and the new Chief Executive Officer of AmTex. “Denimatrix and ACG offer their customers unsurpassed quality, value and proximity in a denim manufacturing sector that is currently migrating from Asia to the Americas. With our partners at Monomoy, we will expand the company’s capabilities and work with our customers to bring fashion-forward products to market through the most efficient supply chain in the industry.” (Bold font by AKC)
