Who We Are

The Synthetic Yarn and Fiber Association is a non-profit organization comprised of individuals affiliated with the synthetic yarn and fiber industry. Representation in the industry includes fiber producers, texturizers, knitters, weavers, and dyeing & finishing personnel. Additionally, raw material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and service providers related to the industry are valuable contributors to the organization.

SYFA Role in Textiles

The role of SYFA is to promote the production, improvement, and use of synthetic yarns and fibers and to facilitate various end uses.  The association also provides members a forum for discussion and presentations related to the improvement of synthetic yarns and fibers and their downstream applications and review of current trade issues.  SYFA membership assures you of current industry information and contacts that are essential for success.  

Meetings and Conferences

The SYFA typically host two major conferences each year.  These conferences are designed to include timely and important issues related to technology innovations, product advancements, and trade conditions for the industry.  SYFA also conducts periodical education seminars on yarn and fiber formation and end use applications.
